The 2026 chip theme, chosen by 2025 Main Event winner Gillian Groves, is Whales. The chipset has eight chips, each featuring a different whale and denomination, plus a special limited purple chip with Gillian’s picture. Chip edges feature denominations and nautical flags noting the denomination. Our 2024 theme theme is Omaholic’s 8 (or better) Steps to Achieving Poker Wizardry, a theme picked by 2023 winner Rich Bremer. Each chip features Vernon Donk, who accompanies Rich in poker tournaments. The eight steps in this chipset are: Step 1: Study Step 2: Game Selection Step 3: Observation Step 4: Patience Step 5: Creativity Step 6: Courage Step 7: Luck Step 8: Ship It! Step 9: Poker Wizardry These chips were designed by Patrick Milligan and feature art drawn by Matt Stacey, who also did the art on Rich’s 2012 chips. They are being produced as part of the 2026 batch.
Jessie Capps, 2022 Main Event winner, has had a fondness for Rubber Ducks for some time. He often brings them to the tournament poker table.
Our 2021 main event winner, the first after the Covid year, is Sabyl “KaisMom” Landrum. Sabyl chose the theme “Mixed Games”. Each chip depicts a different mix: HORSE: Hold’em, Omaha 8 or Better, Razz, Stud, and Stud Eight or Better. Probably the most common mixed format. ROSE: Razz, Omaha 8 or Better, Stud, and Stud Eight or Better. HORSE without Hold’em. TOE: 2-7 Triple Draw, Omaha 8 or Better, Stud Eight or Better. SECOR: Stud, Stud Eight or Better, Chowaha, Omaha 8 or Better, and Razz. This mix was played in memory of Peter Secor at EMBARGO 2026. EBOLA: Stud Eight or Better, Badugi, Omaha 8 or Better, Lowball, and Omaha (high only). This was a tournament rotation at EMBARGO 2015. SHOE: Stud, Hold’em, Omaha 8 or Better, and Stud Eight or Better. A common format particularly when the WSOP was at the Horseshoe downtown. HOT: Hold’em, Omaha 8 or Better, 2-7 Triple Draw. CHORSE: Crazy Pineapple Hold’em, Omaha 8 or Better, Razz, Stud, and Stud Eight or Better. This six-person team tournament is a social highlight at every BARGE. BOURBON: Badugi, Omaha (high only), Duck Flush, Razz, Badacey, Omaha 8 or Better, No-Limit (No Limping) Deuce-to-Seven Lowball. BOAT: Badugi, Omaha (high only), Archie, 2-7 Triple Draw. These chips were designed by Patrick Milligan. They are being produced as part of the 2026 batch.
Russ Fox was the first BARGEr to win the Main Event twice. However, his second win was in 2020 when the event was held online. Because of this, his win merits an Asterisk.
Our 2020 chips were designed by 2019 Main Event winner Scott “Scottro” Harker with help from Patrick Milligan and Michael Brennan.
This year’s theme is ADB BINGO featuring a cocktail for each letter.

This year’s set, designed by 2012 Champ Paul McMullin, and created by Michael Brennan commemorates truly unlikely events. How else can you explain a victory by Paul other than Pigs must be Flying?
Rich “Omaholic” Bremer developed a very unique set of chips. Each chip describes one step towards achieving true BARGE enlightenment.
“Reindeer Games.” Each chip has a common obverse showing a reindeer in a sleigh being pulled by a set of cards. The 2010 Champion, Chuck Humphrey, came up with the theme.
This theme is “Poker Archetypes.” Each chip has a common obverse showing the scales of justice weighing Presto! against Aces. BARGE 2009 Champion, David “Heldar” Heller, came up with the theme.
This theme is “IRC Poker.” Each chip in the chip set has a common obverse with a different r00lbot saying on the reverse side. Standard chip colors are used.
This year, the theme is “Pickle Magic.” Each chip in the chip set has a common obverse with a different image of some form of “Pickle Magic” for each face. Standard chip colors are used.
This year, the theme is “Presto in Everyday Life.” Each chip in the chip set has a common obverse with a different image of some form of “55” for each face. Standard chip colors are used.
The first five chips in this set are dedicated to recently departed BARGErs. The remaining three chips show Don “TryThat” Perry in a variety of historic settings. The pink chip was given as a party favor for attendees Chris and Amy’s wedding, held at BARGE.
This theme is Las Vegas Neon. Each chip has a common obverse (BARGE XV and the Canadian or Maple Leaf Presto!) with a different Las Vegas neon sign for each face.
The theme is BARGE Memories. Each chip has a common (BARGE XIV and dice) obverse with a different BARGE memory for each face. Standard chip colors are used.

All chips in the 2001: A Poker Odyssey set have a common obverse (Buzz Aldrin holding Presto) with a different scene for each face featuring a space scene and a “Prestolith” (our version of a monolith). Notice also that there are 2 forms of the Prestolith. Development Notes Much consideration was given to switching back to Chipco International for these chips. Patrick sent this message to interested parties with a link to this image as to how chips would change from the original Paul-son design. ...
These chips celebrate two RGPers: Spencer “Zorak” Sun and Chris “Jesus” Ferguson, who both won major tournaments in 2000.
This set was created by Ken Kubey using the artwork from the BARGE 2000 lapel pin when it became clear that there would be no chips coming from the 1999 NLHE Champ.
Fish. This set was created by Lee Jones, the 1998 NLHE winner. The common obverse shows an “Art Deco” style magician presenting aces. The Presto! codeword is hidden on the magician’s collar.
Designed by Tom Sims on behalf of the 1997 NLHE winner, Steve Brecher. Steve’s winning hand, 73o, is celebrated on the reverse side. The obverse side displays a “No Suck Outs” graphic.

The very first BARGE chip set, created by Steve Jacobs. A 300 chip set of these was presented to the 1993 champ, Roy Hashimoto. Each attendee at BARGE 1993 also received a purple chip.
