BARGE

This is the home of BARGE, the Big August Rec.Gambling Excursion. BARGE is an annual event that takes place is Las Vegas, NV, typically during the week leading up to the first Saturday in August.

In the early to mid-90s, BARGE was an association of Internet-connected gambling enthusiasts. These days, just about everyone is Internet-connected, so that part marks the group as less unique, but it was an atypical combination back when BARGE got its start.

See What's New with BARGE. This page will be updated with new BARGE information as it happens. While the really important information will still be disseminated via the BARGE-announce mailing list, this page will allow those not subscribed to the BARGE list to better track those events that don't warrant an announcement email.

Two BARGE mailing lists are available:

BARGE-announce: This list is for major BARGE announcements, such as registration opening and closing, etc.. This is a low volume moderated list.
BARGE: This is a mailing list for general discussions about BARGE, BARGE members, topics peripheral to the lives of BARGE members, stray thoughts that randomly occur to BARGE members... . This list is decidedly not low volume, and subscribers will be exposed to strongly held opinions with which they do not agree. You have been warned. While this is a very open list, there are guidelines by which we expect all participants to abide.
