A prelude. I was at Binions on about beer #32 over near the craps pit. I heading in general direction of elevators. Someone (Al Weber ?) says 'Bingo, you wanna play HORSEL ?'. I say 'OK', assuming it's at, well, Binions. Next thing I know I'm in a cab, and heading to the Sahara. When I'm in this state I pretty much resemble play dough. Those of you who've kindly moved me from the VP machines near the elevators to my room know that I pretty much just follow any friendly face. I'm surprised there hasn't been a 'Relocate Bingo Somewhere' contest at BARGE yet, but I *am* appreciative of the help [:)] So I'm REALLY drunk. I mean, I know my reputation here isn't exactly one of restraint, but I'm in high gear, ready to basically go to sleep on my feet. Instead I'm in some cab. I distinctly remember asking the cabbie if I could bring my beer, which wasn't a problem, but definitely not needed. I stumble into the Sahara, and sit down at the last seat of HORSEL. Chat frendz Sager and Sabyl are there. The game is Lowbah. I've NEVER played a hand of lowball EVER. Just read about it in Super System. I'm in relatively late position, and call the bet with something like Jkr-T-J-K-K, and audibly giggle. When it's my turn to draw, I ask the table if it's OK to draw 4. They have no problem with this, and seem to appreciate my tight-aggresive play. I get my cards, and REALLY start to giggle. Sabyl is still in the hand, and looking at me like I'm an alien. Of course, I've drawn to a smooth 6 [:)] She bets, and I raise, and the whole table lets out a WHOOOOOOOO. I'm at this point just about doubled over laughing. Sabyl actually folds, which is one of the better reads I've seen at BARGE, and I show it out of courtesy. Needless to say I got plenty of action after that, and actually won about 2 racks at that game. Don 'Bingo' Rieck
