In 1998 Lee Jones won the BARGE NLHE tournament of 184 entries at Binion's Horseshoe with Steve Danial taking second and Peter Caldes taking 3rd.

Andy Latto took first in the Blackjack tournament with Steve Jacobs taking second. this reversed their positions from the 1996 tournament.

The chips distributed in 1998 were designed by Tom Sims.
